RICHARD, JOAN - AMHERST - Joan Marion (nee Boyd) Richard, December 30, 1938 to November 10, 2014, passed away peacefully at Mira Nursing Home in Truro, NS. Loving mother of Chris, Lee and Megan; mother-in-law to Karen and Lesley and grandmother of Simone, Jamie, Gabrielle and Connor.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) from where visitation will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm from Holy Family Parish, Amherst. Deacon Howard Gotell presiding. Burial to follow at a later date. Donations in memory of Joan may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
