It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Stone announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the age of 72 years. She will be sadly missed but remembered for the love she had for others, by her children: Joy (Darren), Louis (Caterina), and Richard (Crystal); grandchildren: Dustin (Patti), Danika, and Kassandra; sisters: Irene Beales (Stan), Doreen Gardner, and Tina Cabral (Paul); brothers: Robert Gardner (Marie) and Dave Gardner (Gwen), as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to Sheila Buckle, who provided homecare for Geraldine for 5 years and a beautiful friendship. She was predeceased by parents Orestes and Annie Gardner and sister Elizabeth Lee “Betty”. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Major Frank Johnson. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Geraldine’s memory to The Salvation Army Food Bank.
