ROSS, Lester Allen, passed peacefully away at his home in Newellton, Lester “Allen” Ross, aged 78 years. He was the son of James and Isaline Ross, and was predeceased by his brother Stanley. Leaving to mourn are his children: Anthony (Carmel), Kim, Cindy (Joel), Wade (Sylvia), and Darrell (Lois), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his sisters Avis, Gertrude, Joyce (Wilbert), Marie (Sheldon), Juanita (Donald); several nieces and nephews. A lifelong fisherman, Allen was often found at the wharf and spent many hours on his VHF radio. He enjoyed going to the boat races, and playing his accordion, harmonica and spoons. Allen always kept a garden and enjoyed feeding the cardinals and blue jays. The funeral service was held on Sunday November 16 at the Newellton Baptist Church. Interment at Newellton Cemetery.
