WYMER: Martha Elizabeth age 93 of Swift Current, SK passed away on November 10, 2014 at the Swift Current Care Centre. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday November 15, 2014 from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Julien officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson with soloists Harvey and Harold Lang, and Lenora Wentland. Ushers were Rod Bennet and Gerald Hanneley, honorary pallbearers were Edith and Neil Gibbings, Loretta and Al Romankewicz, Jean and Harold Satter, Pat and Fergy Schmidt, Judy Turco, Alfie Yolland, and Lenora and Harvey Wentland, and pallbearers were Bart Blanke, Monte Rumbold, Jason Blanke, Dale Dawe, Trent Dewar, and Allen Blanke. The Interment Service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Martha is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Fred Wymer in 2002; father Henry Blanke in 1953; mother Martha Blanke in 1961; sisters Gertrude King in 1981 and Alice Swartz in 2002; brothers Verner in 1975, Eric in 1998 and Walter in 2014. Martha attended Spring School. On January 17, 1947 she married Fred Wymer. Martha was employed in Ajax, ON from October 31, 1943 to February 1945 as a reamer at the war plant. She was then employed at the Swift Current General Hospital until 1947, and finally a homemaker until her passing. Martha was a member of various church groups, including a Sunday School teacher for many years, she was also involved with the World Relief Committee. She enjoyed making quilts in the winter months, jig saw puzzles, needle work, crocheting, gardening, traveling, a good card game, and visiting with family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care Aunt Martha received from the staff while she was a resident at the care home.
