MRS. ESTHER PILON
Esther’s family are left with heavy hearts and extreme sadness after she peacefully passed away in her sleep on November 15, 2014 at the Victoria Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1938 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She attended the Sisters of Sion Catholic School. After a brief courtship, Esther married the love of her life Louis W. Pilon on April 3, 1961. Together they started their family here in Prince Albert. In 1975 She had taken a barbering course and barbered alongside her husband until 2002. Esther’s greatest source of joy in her life was her family. Esther is survived by her loving husband Louis W. Pilon; her sons Bernie (Marilyn) Pilon and their children Kirk and Kelsey; Daniel (Judy) Pilon and their children Angelia and Anthony; her daughters Louise (Kevin Wilson) and Monique (Richard) Matice; her brothers Paul Bernard and Rosaire (Darlene) Bernard; her brother-in-law Raymond (Blenda) Pilon; her sisters-in-law Beth Parent, Cecile (Lee) Edes, Bernice Pilon, Sandra Pilon, Pearl Bernard, Dolores Bernard, Betty Bernard. She was predeceased by her parents Rose Alma Jean and Ernest Bernard; her in-laws Leon Pilon and Marie Jeanne Chartrand; her step-father-in-law Gilles Leray; her brothers Francis, Joseph in infancy, Delphis, Emery, and Jean-Marie; her sisters Lucy in infancy and Bernadette Grenier; her brothers-in-law Gerald Grenier, Paul Pilon, Norbert Pilon, and Gilbert Pilon; her sister-in-law Esther Bernard. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, EMTs, and medical staff who went above and beyond to take special care of Mom. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20 from St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, with Father Travis Myrheim officiating. Interment will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens following the service. Anyone wishing to make donations in Esther’s memory may do so directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Victoria Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
