DICKINSON, ROLAND - Roland Fraser Dickinson, 93, of Lower Brighton, NB passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Veterans Health Unit Fredericton, NB. Roland was born in Lower Brighton, NB on March 18, 1921 son of the late Benjamin and Cora (Richardson) Dickinson. Roland is survived by his wife; Doris Dickinson, children; Peggy Palmer (Gary), Barb Clark (David), Debbie Melanson (Donald), Lorrie Boone, grandchildren; Shawn Palmer (Karen), Scott Palmer (Susan), Holly Melanson (Enda Conroy), Christy Melanson (Andrew Walton), Josh Boone (Rachel Fox), Robin Boone (Amy Sarchfield), great grandchildren; Aaron, Mallory, Paige, Adrien, Jace, Xavier, Oliver, Eva, brothers; Robert, Allen, Ronald, Murray, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents; Roland was predeceased by a sister; Pauline Robertson, twin great-grandbabies and a son in law; Lorne Boone.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, November 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 21 at 2 PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Lower Brighton Cemetery. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at the Veterans Health Unit Fredericton for the exceptional care, compassion and respect while Roland was a resident. Also special thanks to his caregivers when he was at home, Dalta, Marlee, Kim, Ruth, Rita Alyssa, Lindsey, Tammy.
