SCOTT, LLOYD ALBERT STEPHENSON - The passing of Lloyd Albert Stephenson Scott of Burtts Corner, NB, occurred on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a long battle with ill health. Born on December 7, 1931 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Laura (Stephenson) Scott. Lloyd belonged to the Burtts Corner Lions Club, which he was Charter President and was a proud member for 42 years. He won the Melvin Jones Award for dedication to humanitarian services. Lloyd was a jack of all trades, construction worker, truck driver, business owner, heavy equipment operator and a friend to all. Lloyd left this life as we began it nearly 63 years ago, my hand in his, wife, Rowena Scott. In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his sons, Bil (Anne) and their children, B.J. (Belinda), Maggie (Pete) and Eleanor; Ned (Beth) and their children, Keith, Kyle (Karen) and Kirk; daughter, Kathy (Sterling) White and their children, Krista (Joe) and Eli (Amy); great-grandchildren Marissa, Dannika and Keirra Scott, Rayleigh and Jamie White, Rowan and Declan Scott, Quinn and Adam Lloyd Scott, Holden and Hadley Trevors; special friend, Pat Steele. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Grace and brother, Billy.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Lion Members are asked to assemble at the funeral home for a Lions Memorial Service on Thursday at 6:45 pm. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Ralph Irving officiating. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
