Tyler Glenn Hooper

Born: December 20th, 1994

Passed in: Sydney
Passed on: November 19th, 2014

The world lost a very special and unique person on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, due to a tragic car accident. For those who knew and loved him, there will always be a place in their hearts for Tyler.
Tyler was the beloved son of Betty Lou (Hollohan) and Glenn Hooper.
He was a kind, adoring brother to Khalil Abou-Hamad and wife, Andrea (California) and Selina Abou-Hamad and husband Bryan Parnell (Romania). He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Joyce (Murrant) and Albert Hooper, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Selina (Haddad) Hollohan and a special aunt, Paula Campbell.
Tyler was born in Sydney and attended Riverview High School, graduating with honours in 2013. He then attended Marconi College and Cape Breton University, pursuing his dream to become an accountant.
With a huge, contagious smile on his face, Tyler often walked the grounds of his cherished Big Pond bungalow, strumming on his guitar, singing all the old and new songs that he loved. He was also a proud alumnus of Sydney Panthers Football where he fittingly won the Sportsmanship Award in his senior year.
Tyler was an accomplished computer fanatic who had special skills in calculating and estimating numbers. He put these skills to work in the Electronics Department of Wal-Mart Spar Road, where he attempted to share his love and passion for gadgets with the customers he served. His keen abilities were noted by all his family members, especially his friends and cousins who truly loved, admired, and valued his friendship. He will be sadly missed by all of his cousins who enjoyed summer nights filled with music and laughter around summer campfires.
Tyler leaves a legacy of love and appreciation of family, a quick wit, a sense of humour and a confidence and uniqueness that will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home on Alexandra Street. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chant Funeral Home.
