SAVOIE, ALINE - 1923 - 2014 - Aline Savoie, 91, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the CHU Georges-L-Dumont in Moncton, on Friday, November 21, 2014. She was married to the late Désiré Savoie (1987). Born in Saint-Antoine, she was the daughter of the late Floribert and the late Emilienne (Cormier) Léger. Aline was known for her artisanal talents, she won many awards for her quilts. She was also a very generous person. She will be sadly missed by her five sons; Jean-Paul (Debbie) of North Port FL, Armand (Marie) of Gardner, Mass, Denis (Ella) of Templeton, Mass, Guy (Sharon) of North Port, FL and Roger (Cécile) of Saint-Antoine, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Dorothy Petersen and Thérèse Babineau (Aurèle), both of Saint-Antoine, one brother, Gerard (Florence) of Richiboucto and several nieces and nephews. Aline was predeceased by a granddaughter, Michelle and four brothers; Roger, Valmond, Donald and Hervé.
Visitations will be held in the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Saint-Antoine, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Thursday from 2 to 2:45 pm. The funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Church, on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 3:00pm. In Aline’s memory a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
