ST. PIERRE, BERTHA - It is with heavy hearts the family of Bertha “Elizabeth” Marie St. Pierre, age 92, announce her passing on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Bathurst, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Thibodeau. Bertha worked for many years as a nurse in Saint John, NB. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo. She is survived by her son Harold Major of Amherst, brother Bernard Thibodeau of Saint John, NB and many nieces and nephews. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Nicholas St. Pierre, previous husbands Norman LaCroix and Harry John Major, sisters Dorothy Moore and Margaret Tremblay and brothers Donald, Howard and Harold.
As per Bertha’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Donations in Bertha’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, (98 Church St. 902-667-9906).
