SMITH, Arlene Vivian, 73. With sadness the family announces her passing on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Woods Harbour, NS on August 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Kathleen (Crowell) Cameron. Arlene looked forward to the visits from her grandchildren, took pride in her home and was an avid reader. She is survived by son, Stuart (Christine Amiro) Smith, Woods Harbour; daughter, Kathy Crowell, Halifax; brothers, Phillip (Norma), Vandyke (Dorothy), Donald (Karen), Doward (Ruby Ann); sisters, Elaine (Gerald) Ross, Muriel (the late Paul) Nickerson; grandchildren, Peige, Leah, Jared; and great-grandchildren, Savanah, DeDe and Embry. Cremation has taken place. No funeral by request; the burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
