Laurraine beloved wife of the late Arthur Henry passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the age of 74 at her residence in Prince Albert. Laurraine Marie Henry (nee Parenteau) was born to George and Dorothea Parenteau on April 20, 1940 in Prince Albert, SK. She was the eldest of 7 children. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Henry; her parents George and Dorothea Parenteau; her brothers Anthony and Lloyd; her sisters Jennifer and Eileen. Laurraine is survived by her loving family, Anita Henry (Roy Corrigal), Anna (Lawrence) Corrigal, Corinne (Gary) Isbister, Monica (Joe) Grela, Debbie (Don) Larson, and Murray (Carla) Henry; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters Leona (David) Sarchuk, and May Henderson; special nieces Wendy Pellegrini, Jo-Ann Lanceleve, Renee Tuttle, Jodi Lanceleve and Selina Mackie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom graduated Grade 12 from the Presentation of Mary and then attended Business College. She met the love of her life Arthur Henry in 1958 and the two were married June 3, 1961. Together they had 6 children, she worked for many years at the Holy Family Hospital and after its closure worked at the Victoria Union Hospital for a few years until Arthur’s illness. She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She had a strong catholic faith and prayed the rosary daily. Mom loved camping with her family, gardening, baking, canning and needlework. She will be missed dearly. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2015 at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 1505 – 13th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Travis Myrheim. Cremation and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279- 3rd Avenue N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013, Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3.
