SCOTT, Dale Louise, 65, East Jordan, Shelburne County, passed away suddenly in her home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Born in Sandy Point on November 14, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Shirley Rhuland. She married the late Maynard J. Scott Jr. and they resided in East Jordan in the home they built together. Our mother was an unassuming lady who gave of herself to all who knew her. She was the type of lady who made her home welcome, gave all she could to others, and was simply a joy to be around. She showed how to carry oneself with dignity, allow others grace, refrain from judging and to have a caring and charitable outlook on life. She participated in her community throughout her life, had a great sense of humour and greatly enjoyed her family and friends. Special pride was taken in her grandchildren and she looked forward to every minute she could spend with them. She is survived by her two sons, Wade E. Scott and Maynard J. Scott the 3rd; her four grandchildren, Tanner and Spencer Scott, Karin and Kadin Scott, her sister, Elizabeth Rhuland; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and so many dear and loved friends. Our mother will be greatly missed, lovingly remembered, and all those in her life, or who she touched even briefly, were blessed to part of who she was. She made a profound, positive and lasting impact that will be felt for many years to come. She gave life a great warmth and sense of peace. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. For anyone who would wish to make a donation in honour of Dale, she would always donate to the Cancer Society.
