NICOL, DOREEN - Mrs. Doreen Nicol passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 27, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born in Saint John on August 13, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Gladys (Crocker) Pitt. Graduating in 1950 from vocational school she went to work for NBTel. Doreen is survived by two sons Mark and David Nicol; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George Douglas Nicol, Sept. 2013; one son Douglas Nicol; her siblings Jean Salbo, Angela Miller and Gordon Pitt.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from Castle Funeral Home at 11am. A Reception will follow the service at the Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center.
