CASTLE, FRANCES - Frances Castle died peacefully in residence at the Orchard View Long Term Care home in the Village of Gagetown where she had been living for the past three years. She was born Frances Mary Gillespie in Griswold, Manitoba, on September 18, 1916. She was the youngest daughter of George and Lorena (Canning) Gillespie. Frances spent her childhood living in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, before moving to Cornwall, Ontario, where she met and married her husband, William Thomas Castle. Frances lived most of her life in Montreal, St. Catharine's, Ontario, and more recently Saint John, New Brunswick. Frances was predeceased by her husband; her parents; her sister, Margaret and her brothers, Norris and John Gillespie. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Nathan Strutt. Frances is survived by all five of her children, Judith Castle of Victoria, BC, John Castle (Joyce McCallum) of Welland, ON, Thomas Castle of Montreal, PQ, Catherine Castle of Ottawa, ON and Paul Castle (William Stratton) of Queenstown, NB. Frances is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Simon, Jason, Melissa, Aimee, Max, Maggie, Hilary and Andrew as well as many great-grandchildren.
