SAUNDERS, EDWARD - It is with profound sorrow that the family of Edward John Saunders, aged 73, announce his peaceful passing on November 27, 2014 at the Palliative Care unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and was doing well until the last month. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dr. Sylvia Saunders and many, many friends. He is predeceased by his mother (Theresa) and father (George), and many aunts and uncles. Ed moved from Kingston On., to be with his wife who worked in Oncology at the Regional Hospital. He fell in love with the city and with the bay, the river system and all the historic towns and villages in the area. Ed was an avid sailor from the time he was 11 years old, and felt very at home at the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club where he met many new friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). At his request there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held within the future at the RKYC.
