Lillian Thelma (Vezina) Swanton, late of Prince Albert, SK passed peacefully from this life the morning of November 26, 2014, at the age of 86 years, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Lillian was born on the family homestead near St. Louis, SK and lived there until meeting and marrying her husband, Robert Swanton. Robert and Lillian lived at Red Deer Hill for about 15 years, where they raised their daughter Margaret, but she has been a resident of Prince Albert since 1967. They were a lively couple in the community attending dances and entering numerous competitions at the PA Winter Festival including her favorite, the jigging competition. Her creativity showed in her cake decorating as well she was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting afghans made with love. In 1979 she began to invest her time in helping to make the community safe by becoming a matron guard with the RCMP. Above all, what really defined Lillian was the undying love she had for her family. She loved being a mother and lived every breath for her grandchildren. Lillian is survived by her daughter Margaret, her three grand-children: Kerri (Perry), Shannon and Dean (Erin); her sister-in-law Kathleen, her nephew Kevin, her and niece Sheila. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her mother Julia, her grandparents Margaret and William, her brother-in-law Bill, her brother in-law Wilfred, and her sister-in-law Anne.
