GERE, KALMAN - The passing of Kalman Gere, husband of Katharina (Fuderer) Gere, occurred on November 29, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 16, 1937 in Darda, Croatia, he was the son of the late Vince and Petronela (Nadjmilkuti) Gere. In addition to his wife, Kalman is survived by his daughter, Irene McAleenan (Kirk) of Keswick Ridge, NB; son, Zoltan Gere (Georgina) of Tripp Settlement, NB; grandchildren, Adam, Charlie, Evelyn, Chris, Benedikt and Beatrice; sister Viktoria Tuer of Germany; brother, Gaspar Gere (Margita) of Croatia; brother-in-law, Franz Fuderer; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Kalman was predeceased by his sister, Klara Ispanovic, and brothers, Vince and Imre Gere.
Although there will be no visitation, a Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at 10 am with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Anthony’s Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
