SURETTE, Louis Gustave – age 89 of New Beginnings Seniors Home, Yarmouth and formerly of Surette’s Island passed away on November 30, 2014 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Surette’s Island on October 4, 1925, Louis was the son of the late Andre and Hortense Surette. Louis was a painter for a majority of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie Evangeline (Amirault) Surette; daughter, Wanda Surette, Yarmouth; sisters, Lucy Doucette, Wedgeport, and Nemerise Noble, B.C. He was predeceased by his sister, Justine; brothers, Arthur, Angus, Edmond, Eugene, Eddie, and Hubert. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation took place from 7 – 9 p.m. and prayers at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 at the funeral home in Yarmouth. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. Interment at a later date.
