JOHNSTON, FREDERICK PHILLIPS - March 21, 1918 – November 30, 2014. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our Dad (Gramp and Papa) Fred Johnston who passed away peacefully at home.
He is survived by two daughters; Eleanor Schaus (Bob) of Hoyt, Elaine Eldridge of Saint John, three sons; John (Janet) of Hoyt, Ronald of Hoyt and Roy (Kathy) of Hoyt, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Fred was a “Jack of all Trades” who loved working with his hands. He was a mechanic and operated his own garage for many years. When time would permit he liked to get his saw mill up and running and was working it just a couple of months ago. He enjoyed his many trips to the camp in search of any wildlife. He is predeceased by his loving wife Frances of 62 Years, his parents Delaney (Phillips) and Arthur Johnston and one son-in-law Al Eldridge. He is also predeceased by his two sisters; Mary and Isabelle and two brothers Jack and Glen.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Tuesday December 2 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will take place at Sunbury Funeral Home, Blissville, NB on Wednesday, December 3 at 1pm with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
