FONTAINE, STELLA (ROBICHAUD) (1935 - 2014) -ALDOUANE, NB - Stella Fontaine 79, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Center, Moncton on Sunday, November 30, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Aldouane, she was the daughter of the late Placide Robichaud and Marguerite (Richard) Robichaud. Before retiring, Stella owned Fontaine's Bakery in Aldouane and she also worked at the lobster factory. Stella will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Marcel Fontaine of Aldouane; her seven children, Diane Robichaud (Steve) of Ontario, Ronald Fontaine of Shediac, Yvette Maillet (Denis) of Richibouctou-Village, Gilles Fontaine (Norma) of Bouctouche, Bernard Fontaine (Shirley) of Grand Barachois, Bernadette Daigle (Jean) of Saint-Louis, Lyne Robichaud (Zacharie) of Moncton; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Lorette Babineau (late Alphée) of Moncton, Aurella Chevarie (Emile) of Saint Charles, Aline Caissie (Bernard) of Moncton, Jeannine Gray (Sylvere) of Moncton, Rose Malingrey (Jean-Marie) of Montreal; one brother Adrien Robichaud (late Yvette) of Aldouane and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Adrien, Joseph; four sisters, Doris, Celeste, Eva, Lorraine and three brothers, John, Eloi and Guy.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:00 am, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Stella's memory may be made to the Oncology Unit of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Center and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
