Passed away at his home in Creston South, NL, on Monday, December 01st, 2014, JOHN SAMUEL HODDER, of Creston South, NL, in his 78th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Elsie, sons Sandy (Valerie), Creston South, Neil (Sheila), Epworth, Wavell, Hamilton, ON, Maurice, Saskatoon, SK, daughters Brenda Hodder (Roger), Lumsden, Sherry Hodder (Sterling), Marystown; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; Brothers Clifford (Margaret), Creston South, Calvin (Martha), Creston South, Wesley, Creston South, Gary (Almira), Oshawa, ON, sisters Madeline Pike (Russell), St. Lawrence, Elizabeth Legge (Bert), Creston South, Judy Hodder (Howard), Creston South, and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Sam is predeceased by his parents Albert and Victoria Hodder, brothers Herbert and Edward and sister Mildred.

Rev. Robert Tuck conducted the Funeral Service at Calvary United Church, Creston South, on Thursday, December 04th, 2014; at 2:00 pm. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery in Creston South.

In Samuel’s memory, donations may be made to the family.

Pall bearers were Scott Maye, Calvin Hodder, Thomas Chislett, Gary Pike, Frederick Cleal, and Dominic Stacey.
