Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, on November 2, 1923, daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Zorychta) Bazan. Wife of the late Samuel Martin and the late Charles Aitken. Mother of Brenda (Bill) Irwin, South Hampton, Ontario; and Ron Martin, Cornwall, PEI. Grandmother of Jackie (Robert) Paynter, Kelvin Grove; Travis (Alejandra) Irwin, North Dakota, USA; Jason (Bronwyn) Irwin and Adam Irwin both of South Hampton, Ont.; Billi-Jo Irwin, Bobbi-Sue Dingwell, Erin Martin (Troy) and Julie Martin (Craig), all of Edmonton, AB. Great-grandmother of Amy (Jesse) Elwood of Smith, AB; Emily Paynter, Kelvin Grove, Samuel, Daniella and David Irwin, North Dakota, USA; Emily, Katie, Avery and Zachary Martin all of Edmonton, AB. Predeceased by son John Donald Martin in infancy, brother Raymond Bazan, sister Thelma Bazan, sisters-in-law Marion MacKie and Daisy Martin, brothers-in-law Harold Martin and Lloyd Martin. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Sunday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Orwell Corner Cemetery.
