Ferne Burgess
Marie Ferne Burgess, beloved wife of Edward F. Burgess of Big Beaver, Sask. passed away of natural causes on Wednesday Dec. 3, 2014, at Bengough, Sask. Ferne was born in Lucknow, Ontario on Nov. 1, 1921, and married Edward on May 24, 1947. The couple moved to the Big Muddy Valley and made their home on the Circle Y Ranch for the past 67 years. She was cherished in life by her Husband Edward, Daughter Barbara Anne (Harvey) Mills, Son Michael (Tamela) Burgess, Grandchildren Daranne (Greg) Harris, Christopher (Ashley) Mills, Tiffany (Kent) Cameron, Britt Burgess, Lane Burgess and Kenda Wick and Great-grandsons Spencer Harris, Harvey and Rider Mills and Colt Cameron. Ferne is predeceased by her parents Charles and Edythe Alton and her brother J.C. Alton. The family send out a special thanks to the staff of the Bengough home for making Ferne’s last three years as comfortable as possible. Interment will take place at a later date.
