Kathleene Grace Curtis (nee Brown-Brison) died Dec. 5, 2014 at home in Sydney.
She was born in Cheverie, Hants County. She will be greatly missed by her children, Daniel, Linda (Tony Fougere), Anna Curtis-Steele, Joan (Mik MacNeil), Marilyn (Donald Feldman), Christopher, Loretta Beck and George (Lorna); her grandchildren, Mark Steele, Dawn MacNeil, David Curtis, Adam Linden, Jamie Feldman, Rene Fougere, Tyler Curtis, Deanna Curtis, Jenna Curtis, Darcy Beck, Brennan Curtis, Leah Curtis and Andrew Curtis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rupert Leo and grandson, Robbie Steele.
She dearly enjoyed her great-grandchildren, Summer, Tessa, Ethan, Liam, Jessica, Daniel, Matthew, Abigail, Alexander, Olivia and Halley.
No viewing and a private family service will be held at a later date, as per our mother’s wishes.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, for the comfort of seniors in long term care.

"Our mom was a most loving, kind and supportive mother. She was the strongest person we knew and was incredibly proud of her family. She loved to dance and skate, and could often be heard singing a tune. She was famous for her poems that she read at family gatherings, especially at Christmas time. We love you mom, you will always be dancing in our hearts".
