Frances Roberta Cousins (nee Kendrick) of Clinton View Lodge, passed away December 5, 2014, at the Prince County Hospital, aged 83.
She was born in Parrsboro, N.S., October 14, 1931, the youngest of eight and moved to Moncton at 15 to make fame or fortune. She never became famous, nor made a fortune. Instead she met Lloyd George Cousins from Millvale, P.E.I., and together they made a life and a family. They travelled the world, had many adventures, and after seeing it all, retired in Hunter River.
Her children, Nancy Hunt (John), Thomas, Cheryl McLean (Stephen); her grandchildren, Tara, Natalie, Jessie, Sarah, Rebecca and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Asher and Autumn will miss her. She is survived by her brother, Patrick.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; parents, Pearl and Thomas Kendrick; sisters, Louise, Melita, Nellie and Sharon; and brothers, Thomas and John.
There will be an informal gathering to celebrate the life of Frances Cousins at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. A private interment will take place at Hunter River Cemetery.
