LITTLE HARBOUR - Raymond Harvey Tucker, age 91, of Little Harbour, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late William and Anne (Hynes) Tucker. He worked as a carpenter at the former Hawker Siddeley, retiring in 1988. A veteran of the Second World War, he served in Germany and Holland with the Royal Canadian Engineers. He was a member of the Pictones and Gentleman Songsters; Albion Masonic Lodge No. 5 and New Caledonia Mosher No. 11. He was a member of Little Harbour Presbyterian Church, long time choir member and served on the Board of Managers. He is survived by his wife, Vivian (Ross); daughter, Kim Grant (Ken Atkinson), Bible Hill; sons: Kirby (Brenda), Egypt Road; Kent (Pamela), Edmonton; grandchildren: Kirsten (Paul), Jacob (Violet), Ross, Thornton, Jameson, Colin and Garrett. He was the last surviving member of his family and was predeceased by brothers, Allister (in infancy), James, Harry, Hubert and Ivan, sisters, Laura, Margaret, Nellie, Frances and Anne. Visitation 7-9 pm Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 11 am Tuesday in Little Harbour Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Church Brook Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. Albion Masonic Lodge will meet at the funeral home at 6:30 pm Monday to conduct their service.
