INGRAM, BERNICE FREDA - Bernice F. Ingram of Canterbury, NB, passed away on December 5, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Bernice was born in 1924 at Canterbury, NB, a daughter of the late Roy and Leaffie (Johnson) Gallagher. Bernice graduated from Normal School and taught at area schools between Canterbury and St. Stephen. She worked at a grocery store and later at Kings Landing Historical Settlement. Bernice was very involved in the Anglican Church. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, reading and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Richard Ingram (Marilyn), New Maryland, NB and Steven Ingram (Theresa), Miramichi, NB; three grandsons, Ryan Ingram (Michelle), Fredericton, NB, Jonathan and Christopher Ingram, both of Miramichi, NB; one granddaughter, Shauna DeWolfe, Hamilton, ON; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Madison Ingram; one great-grandson, Jackson DeWolfe; a brother, Eugene Gallagher, Canterbury, NB; two brothers-in-law, Robert Ingram and Lester Furrow (Sonja); a sister-in-law, Gwen Gallagher; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Ingram in May 2014; two brothers, Perley and Gerald Gallagher and by a sister, Maxine Furrow.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Canterbury, NB on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Canon Jim Irvine officiating. A reception will follow at the church hall. Interment will be later at Canterbury Cemetery.
