Jean-Baptiste Allain

ALLAIN, JEAN-BAPTISTE - Jean-Baptiste Allain of Dieppe passed away peacefully at his home, Residence Notre-Dame-du-Sacre-Coeur, Dieppe, on December 5th, 2014 at the age of 98. Born in St. Antoine, NB, November 30, 1916, he was the son of the late Francois and Sylvie (Goguen) Allain. Jean-Baptiste is survived by his loving children, Sr Claudia Allain n.d.s.c., Gerard (Robert Creelman), Florine (Philippe) Gallant, Clarence, Leo, Valmond (Brenda), Victor (Phyllis), Bernard (Diane Partridge), Eveline (Dan Duke) and his sisters, Madeleine Gauvin of Shediac and Emma Richard of Mass.
He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, his many nieces, nephews and his extended family of care givers at Residence NDSC who took care of his every need, before he even knew that he had one, and made his last 14 years joyful. Aside from his parents, Jean-Baptiste was predeceased by his loving wife Louise-Anne (Arsenault) Allain, brothers; Henri, Edouard and his sisters; Regina LeBLanc and Olympe Landry.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Monday December 8, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 12:00-2:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis-de-France on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place at the later date in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery. Donations in Jean-Baptiste’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or La Solitude Pré-d'en-Haut or a charity of the donor’s choice.
