SLIPP, SHARON LEANNA (BRAWN) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon on December 8, 2014 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Fredericton Junction on April 25,1952 to Shirley (Boone) Brawn and Leslie Brawn. Besides her father, Sharon is survived by her husband, Harold, daughter Alisha (Derek) Melanson of Barrington NS, son Seth (Andrea) Slipp, of Calgary AB, brother Markle (Jill) Brawn of Fredericton Junction, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her mother (Shirley) and a grandson (Marty Slipp). Sharon was a wife, mother, grandmother and a teacher. She was a teacher, teacher aid and a school librarian in Fredericton Junction most of her working career. Sharon was very involved in her church, being a Sunday school teacher to the teen class for 25 years. For many years she operated a Christian library from her home. Sharon loved reading; often she and Harold would go to the camp together and she would spend the time reading a good Christian book.
Visitation will be at Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church Wednesday December 10 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will take place at the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 3 PM with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Donations may be made in memory of Sharon to the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church, Canadian Red Cross, Palliative Care at the Oromocto Public Hospital, or charity of your choice.
