Debra Madore

MADORE, DEBRA DAWN - With heavy hearts, the family of Debi Madore announces her unexpected passing on Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Donald and Jean (Stanley) Armstrong. Debi worked at Rocmaura Nursing Home for 18 years in the Dietary Department and absolutely enjoyed her time with the residents. She grew up in Lakewood where she also began her family. She was a wonderful mother and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Her nieces and nephews nick-named her “bubby” and it stuck for the rest of her days. She was fun loving and spirited with a zest for life. She loved her cards and was well known to “coerce” people to play cards into the wee hours of the morning. Debi had a passion for driving and a “need for speed” and loved long drives. She will be forever and lovingly remembered. Debi is survived by her loving daughters Paula, Mandy (Tim), Michelle (Trevor) and Jacqueline (Shawn) and their father William; brothers Keith, John and Wayne (Bonnie) Armstrong; sisters Dianna (Eugene), Sandra (David), Susan (Dennis), Tracy (Mark) and Pamela (Larry); and her precious grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, Taylor, Brendan, Briaunna, Sierra and Arliahna, as well as, many much loved, extended family members. In addition to her parents, Debi was predeceased by her nephew Nathan.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation Thursday from 2 to 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 from the Garnett Settlement Christian Church at 1 pm. Interment in the Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery. Donations in Debi’s memory made to the church would be greatly appreciated by her family. To sign the guest book or send a message of condolence, please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com
