PICTOU – Mary Catherine Lucy “Kay” LeBreton, 100, died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, December 7, 2014 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Pictou, she lived there for 100 years, and was a daughter of the late Matthew and Lucy (Gallant) Connell.
Kay was a member of the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, and a 55 year member of the Catholic Women’s League.
She is survived by five daughters, Maurine Keenan, Colorado; Barbara (Michael) Murphy, Dartmouth; Joan Strong, Toronto; Susan (Richard) Pope, Dartmouth; Nancy (Robert) Haley, Pictou; sister, Pauline Steele, P.E.I.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
Kay was predeceased by her husband, Leo.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Stella Maris Church, Pictou. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
