HAWKINS, JESSIE - Jessie Elaine Hawkins (nee Lee) passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer. Born March 22, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Stewart Albert Lee and Marjorie Louise Lee (nee Frost). Jessie is survived by her husband of 55 years John Nelson Hawkins; daughter, Lynn Elaine Hawkins; grandsons: David Nelson Jones and Alan Michael Jones; as well as one brother, Albert Stewart Lee (Lilla); sisters-in-law: Shirley Dobson, Helen Eldridge, and Jean Clinch; and brother-in-law, Byron Clinch; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Ann Louise.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road 634-7425. Per Jessie’s request there will be no visitation following cremation. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Saint Columba Presbyterian Church, 1454 Manawagonish Road, with a reception to follow in the church hall. A private family interment to take place at a later date in Pennfield at the Pennfield Presbyterian Kirk Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Columba Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor’s choice in lieu of flowers.
