McGUIGAN, JEFFREY CHARLES - The sudden passing of Jeffrey Charles McGuigan of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was 51. Born in Fredericton, NB he was the husband of Kamala (Fox) and son of Melbourne and Barbara (Gordon) McGuigan. Jeff is survived by his wife Kamala; their children, Benjamin, Matthew and Johanna; brother Richard (Michele) and their children Nicholas, Ryan, Megan and Nathan; sister Janice (Ed McNally) and their children Eryn, Will and Ella, father and mother-in-law; Ed and Sandra Fox; sister-in-law, Kelsey Fox; aunts and uncles; Ronald McGuigan, Marjorie Bell, Angie Burpee and Frank Gordon as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. His maternal and paternal grandparents predeceased him. Jeff touched everyone that knew him, with his genuine kindness, and humorous spirit. He dearly loved his family and spending time at his camp on the Miramichi. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, was an excellent fisherman and an accomplished athlete in his younger years, excelling in track and field, hockey, golf and fastball. Growing up he spent much time at his grandparent’s family farm in Keswick Ridge, and these memories held a special place in his heart. The community grieves the loss of a compassionate member, his involvement with the Fredericton Community Foundation being one of his proudest contributions. Jeff was also a board member for the Greater Fredericton Knowledge Park Inc., a member of the Miramichi Salmon Association and the Atlantic Salmon Federation.
