It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear sister. Sarah Belle on Dec. 11, 2014 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines on Nov. 7, 1939, she was the daughter of the Late Herbert and Hannah (Antle) Pye.
Sarah Belle was a devoted daughter and sister to her entire family, being a special caregiver to her parents and brothers, Elijah and Victor during their extended Illnesses.
Sarah Belle is survived by brother, Charles, Sydney; sisters, Annie Snow, Alleine Dove, both of Sydney Mines and Jean (Ian) Gillan, Toronto. Also left to mourn Sarah Belle are numerous nieces and nephews, who had a very loving relationship with her and who will miss her love and generosity immeasurably.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, John, Fred, Victor, Leonard, Elijah, Ananias and Clarence.
Her family are truly appreciative of the loving care she received from the nurses and doctors at the palliative care unit of Northside General Hospital.
Visitation will be on Monday, Dec.15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, 10 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines. A celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating.
