Passed peacefully away, in the presence of her family, at the Kenny's Pond Retirement Residence, on December 11, 2014, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Alice (Prettyman) Attwood, her dear husband Arthur Wilfred Brown, brothers Frank (late Florence), Maxwell (Cherry) and Gerald (Gwen), and her sister Phyllis Johnston (late Bob). She is survived by her sisters Joan Schleufer (late Whitey), Patricia Davis (late Mac), Carol Amromin and Judy McDougall (Dwayne), and her lifelong friend Ruth Thomas. Also leaving to mourn, with fond memories, sons Christopher (Marie Wadden), Robin, and David (Darlene O'Dea), daughter Renée (Mike Duncan); grandchildren Nicole, Justin, Jonathan, Samantha, Nicholas, Mitchell, Jackson, Jeremy, Naomi and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Jayla and Alaina. She also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. Yvonne was a genial woman, with a winning smile, who was always generous with her family and friends, especially at Christmas time. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Kenny's Pond for their care and compassion over the past year and a half. Visitation will take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Sunday December 14, 2014 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, Monday from 10 am - 4 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16 from St. Augustine's Church at 11 am. Interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery on Forest Rd.
