Clara Ingeborg Myrhaugen/Nelson

Clara's parents first came to the States from Norway before coming to the Success, SK area to farm. She was the middle of 7 children. Clara married Alvin Nelson in 1940. They settled in Pennant where Alvin died in 1958. Clara moved to Victoria, BC in 1962. She married Lawrence Krisher in 1965 and they traveled extensively to many countries. In 1985 Clara was on her own again and had many hobbies to pursue. She was very talented in that she could make anything from practically nothing. The prize possessions she made include a teawagon, spoon cabinets, desk, Norwegian handiwork, sparkling star bedspreads, many, many quilts, ceramics, sewed beautiful clothes and knitted. She is survived by her 5 children: Dennis, Marilyn Joan, Norman, Ronald, Rio/Audrey and older brother Kermit and younger sister Bernice. Clara had a full life and was never bored. She is buried in Swift Current at Mt Pleasant and is sadly missed.
