GUTHRIE, CONSTANCE “CONNIE” M. - Constance “Connie” Mowry Guthrie of Fredericton, NB, passed away at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB, on Saturday December 13, 2014. Born in Fredericton on October 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (O’Leary) Robinson. Connie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 4, Fredericton and an active member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. She is survived by her children, Robert (Linda) Guthrie, Barry Guthrie and Brenda (Donald) Holland all of Fredericton; grandchildren, Shea Rogers, Carrie (Cory) Urquhart, Laurie Guthrie, Joel (Christine) and Nick Holland; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Eric Rogers, Jacob and Connor Urquhart, Brandon and Carter Hayes, Violet Holland and Cameron Cane; one brother, Ronald (Stella) Robinson of Manitoba; one uncle, Philip O’Leary of Fredericton; two nieces and two nephews. Predeceased by her parents; Mark Guthrie; grandson, Jason Guthrie, grandson-in-law, Geoff Rogers; a sister, Pauline O’Leary Robinson and a brother, Thomas Robinson.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to make donations in memory of Connie are asked to consider the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Fredericton SPCA.
