PURCELL, MARIE ELIZABETH - It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Marie Elizabeth Purcell, who passed away at her residence Shannex Embassy Hall on Saturday December 13th, 2014 in Quispamsis, NB. Born September of 1934 in Dorchester NB, she was the daughter of the late John Harris and Gladys (Wilson) Field. Marie was a Registered Nurse and was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and decorating. She had a great spirit, a wonderful outlook and a tremendous sense of humour. Marie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years Burton Purcell of Saint John; daughters Lisa Purcell (David Condon) of Bonshaw, PE and Tracey Purcell of Halifax, NS; brother Dwight Field of Moncton; nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held at Shadow Lawn Inn 3180 Rothesay Road, Rothesay on Sunday, December 21st from 1 to 3 p.m. Donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
