CLAVETTE, HERMEL G. - Hermel Clavette, 81, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on May 17, 1933 in Saint-Basile, he was the son of the late Théodule and Léonie Clavette. Prior to his retirement, Hermel was a cook at CN for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Thérèse (Côté); their daughter, Diane Babineau (Daniel) of Moncton, three grandsons: Alexandre, Jérémie and Stéphane; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by one son, Luc as well as his sisters and brothers.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Hermel, a contribution to Dieppe Army Cadets (3006) would be appreciated.
