It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Kevin William Houlihan (Pop), age 85 years, in the presence of his loving and devoted family and friends in his old homestead in Flatrock on Friday, December 12, 2014. Predeceased by his loving wife Cecilia (2007); mother and father Maurice and Mary and stepmother Mary; mother-in-law and father-in-law Walt and Marie Power; his 3 brothers; 5 sisters; sisters-in-law; especially his youngest brother Joe who he was so proud of, he was killed in action in WWII and received the Purple Heart for Bravery. Leaving to mourn his loving sons Joe (Geraldine), Kenneth (his buddy whom he resided with) and Jimmy (Margie); daughters Donnie (Rick Morey) and Kathleen (Michael Waterman); 11 grandchildren Jennifer (Kenny Gladney), Darryl (Jessica), Chenoa (Mark Power), Ashley (Aaron Janes), Kim (Dennis), Chad (Kayla), Chris, Rebecca (Brian), Kevin, Jeffrey, Kathleen; 5 great-grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Natalie, Averie and Reid; special cousin and good friend Mike Houlihan; sisters-in-law Agnes Houlihan, Anita Dyer, Madonna Wilkinson, Catherine Power, Bernice Boland and Nell Roberts; brother-in-law John and their families; also a large circle extended family and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation on Saturday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday December 15th, 2014 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Flatrock. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Grotto.
