Passed peacefully away on December 16, 2014 in her 95th year at Tiffany Village. Originally from Latvia...but a proud Newfoundland and Labradorian since 1951. Predeceased by her husband Arnis. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family Martin (Creina), Kristine, Ruta (Juris), Peter (Carolyn) and special grandchildren Jason, Traci (Dustin), Hayley (Nick), Chelsea (Mike), Amanda (Paul), Kiki (Davey), David (Vanessa), close friends Ingrid Pardoe and Brenda Burness and an extended circle of friends. Many thanks to Dr. Mercedes Penton, Dr. Michael Kennedy, Elizabeth Kennedy and to the management and staff (especially her caregivers) at Tiffany Village for their love and attention to Sofie. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held in mid/late January with details to be provided at a later date.
