Minnie was a happy, intelligent and loving woman. She worked for the Royal Bank of Canada in Montreal and later in St. John's and had many fond memories of her time spent there. While in Montreal she met her husband Bill and together they returned to Newfoundland to marry and start a family on Bell Island. They later retired to St. John's while maintaining Minnie's family home in Lower Island Cove, a favorite place for them. Minnie was devoted to her family and wrote countless letters to those "living away". Minnie was a thoughtful listener, an exceptional baker and an excellent storyteller. She was the source of incredible joy and happiness to her family and friends. Our only solace at this time is that she is reunited with her Bill. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held, Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. from Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road.
