Thelma Lougheed
October 9, 1919 – December 20, 2014
Mom was born to Henry and Eva Moody and grew up in the Marquis area. She married Cecil Lougheed in 1941 and moved to Brownlee where they farmed and raised their four children, Ray, Fern, Bruce, and Brenda. She is predeceased by her husband Cecil, two sisters Elva Jackson and Bev Sarafenchon, her oldest son Ray, grandson Kenton, daughter-in-law Patti Gamble, and son-in-law Maurice Swanson. She is survived by her daughter Fern Swanson, her children Nicole Swanson and Stacey McIntyre (Trent); son Bruce Lougheed (Claudette), his children Curtis (Sarah), Fayne, Taryn and Kyle; daughter Brenda Rosenau (Brian), sons Troy and Cory (Loralee); and Ray and Patti’s children Shauna Lougheed and Jason (Janice) Lougheed; and brother-in-law George Sarafenchon and his children Scott (Tara) and Kami. Thelma also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Thelma is remembered for her remarkable and infectious sense of humour. She was always fashionable and beautifully put together. Thelma loved cooking and her kitchen was open to everyone! Her talents spread from the kitchen to her paintings and cross stitch. She loved curling, and was a proud member of the Grandmothers Club. As per her wishes, there will be a private family burial at a later date. Flowers are graciously declined.
