William "Bill" Coffin

88, Milford, passed away peacefully at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, on December 21, 2014. Born in Kingsborough, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Percy and Louise Coffin.
Bill was a veteran of the Second World War. He worked at the National Gypsum mine in Milford for 35 years and kept up to date on all the mines news and events. He loved reminiscing about old friends and colleagues he worked with for decades.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years Mary (Cooke); his children, June (John) Bayer, Middleton; Roger (Anita) Coffin, P.E.I.; Don (Sheila) Coffin, Stewiacke; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Birdie, Eileen, Margaret, all of P.E.I.; Clara, Niagara Falls; brothers, Stanley, Preston, Sheldon, Weston, all of P.E.I.; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Winslow, Stewart, Kenny, Lee and sister, Elsie.
Visitation 6-9 p.m., Friday with funeral service 11a.m., Saturday, December 27, both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Lori Crocker DM officiating. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Doctor Cooke and the staff at Purdy’s Lane for the care and compassion they showed Dad.
