Eileen Mae (Davis) Landry, -96, of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou passed away on December 23rd, 2014 in the home. Born in Pictou, January 5, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John and Hilda (Locke) Davis. She married the late Stephan Landry in 1940. Besides her parents, Eileen was predeceased by brothers, Stanley and Marould (Bee); sisters, Thelma and Marjorie; and her husband, Stephan Landry. She is survived by her two children, Aileen MacIssac (Landry, the late Dave MacIssac) and Barry (Carol) Landry; her sister, Annie Griswold, her 6 grandkids, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. Eileen was loved by all who were around her. She never failed to speak her mind, she could make you laugh and also think twice about your weight in the same sentence. She lived her life always singing and entertaining all. Eileen never went without a smile, she was stubborn, strong willed and nosey, which made her the amazing 96-year-old woman she was. A special accomplishment in Eileen‘s life that should not be forgotten is that she was the first of five generations, having 4 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the charity of your choice. At Eileen’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
