John Anthony Curtis, age 56, Park Street, Trenton, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 23, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family at his side.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Mary Curtis Preston, Westville and the late Robert Curtis.
John had worked in the forest industry for many years with various logging companies including Donald E. Cameron Ltd and more recently with M. R. MacDonald Holding Ltd. John was always there willing to help anyone in anyway. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.
John will be dearly missed by his mother, Mary; his wife, Vivian (Burgie- Chapman); children, John Richard Curtis (Tammy), Sask.; Ashley Curtis (Andrew), Trenton; Lauren Curtis, at home; step children, Maria and Cecil Burgie at home; grandsons, Sean, Damon, and Hayden; brother Robert “Herbie” Curtis, Stellarton; Susan Mullen, Trenton; Elizabeth Lays (Peter), Westville and close family friend, Donna Pye, Trenton.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathy.
John is resting and Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Saturday from 6 - 9 pm. His funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Sunday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
