DEMMINGS, MARINA MAE - Marina Mae Demmings, 80, of Moncton, with her loving husband at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 26, 2014. Born in Tilley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel (Hanscomb) Millard. Marina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of the NB Engineers Wives (Moncton Branch), enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, golfing and summers in Caissie Cape. Marina will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Keith Demmings of Moncton; daughter, Terry Lee Lovelock (Jack) of Riverview; sons, Keith “Randy” (Chris) of Barrie, ON and George (Cathy) of Riverview; grandchildren, Joey and Krista Lovelock; Megan and Kelsey Demmings, Danny, Lorna and Brandon Demmings; great-grandchildren, Eagan and Kaia Lovelock Rose; sister, Dorothy Baker (Lewis); brothers, Alton Millard and Lyle Millard (Donna); several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Marina was predeceased by her brothers, Gerald, Gary, Arthur, Ralph and Gilbert; sisters, Geraldine and Ruth.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service to celebrate Marina’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December, 30, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in Currie Cemetery, Tilley, NB, in the spring.
