Nelson, A. Eileen - Brule, Colchester County, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2014, in Tatamagouche at age 82. Born in Barrachois, Colchester County, December 6, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Mingo) Weatherbie. Eileen was very well known and respected as a professional hair stylist in Truro and Brule for 63 years. She was co-owner of the White Lantern Beauty Salon with long-time friend Joyce Mingo. Eileen loved her sports cars. She also loved to travel with husband Dave on many business trips around the world and spent the last 26 winters in Zephyrhills, Florida. They enjoyed camping in the Maritimes in the summer and Eileen made friends wherever she went. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Middleton. She is survived by her husband, David; sister, Phyllis Matheson; mother-in-law, Merle Nelson; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Ruth) Nelson, Lloyd (Janet) Nelson; sisters-in-law, Jane MacCallum, Donna (Vaughan) Matheson. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Debbie (Sheldon) Doyle, Randy (Debbie) Matheson, Kelly (Robert) Putnam, Darryl (Leanne) Matheson, and their families. The family would like to thank Martha Underwood, Dr. Moss, Dr. Glasgow, the VON nurses and all the staff at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for the excellent care given to Eileen. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday, December 29, 2014, at Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Reception will follow.
