At his home in Hamilton, Ontario on December 22nd, 2014 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband to Maureen (nee White). Loving father to Richard (Tracey) and Jennifer (Jean-Francois). Cherished Poppy to Layla and Esme. Predeceased by his parents Monica and Emile Lafitte. Dear brother to Derm, Richard, Joan Tucker, Jenny Matheson, Valda Simmons and David. Predeceased by siblings Greg, Jerome, Geraldine and Irene. Born in Corner Brook, NFLD, John moved and raised his family in Hamilton, Ontario where he was employed at Stelco Steel for many years until his retirement.
